Sotamat – Self-Spotting (and Alerting) over HF
Brian Mathews, AB6D spent the last six months creating a way to self-spot through FT8. The result is SOTAmāt (pronounced “sota mate”).
As an avid SOTA voice operator, Brian wanted a way to self-spot his SOTA activations in real-time, especially on peaks without cell service. Brian will not only show us how you can use SOTAmāt, but also give us a behind-the-scenes how it was built and how it works.
If you are interested in SOTA/POTA activations, you will not want to miss this presentation!
